Motivational Speaking Business Cards
Sure, everyone tells you to get a business card. They tell you
92 different ways to make it impressive. I closed my ears to all that and
haven't had a business card in 13 years. OK, well I did have a funny one for a
while but that was just for fun.
Let me give you an example of what I'm talking about when it comes to avoiding
business cards.
Think of any celebrity you know. Let's say Jay Leno. Can you imagine Jay Leno
introducing himself and offering you a business card. That's ridiculous to even
think about. Now, I'm not saying as speakers we should pretend we're as famous
as Jay Leno. I'm suggesting that in your industry you become famous. . . So
famous that you don't need a business card.
Yes, I'll give you some alternatives to business cards a little later, but for
now get it in your head that your job is to get KNOWN . . . not be
run-of-the-mill by having a motivational speaking business card just like a
million other speakers.
